Where is it?

Tapscott House is located just outside the village, overlooking Hay Harbor. If you should ever decide to leave the house, take a mid-day stroll down to the museum to see this summer's special exhibit. Relax afterward with a picnic lunch from the Island Cafe on the Village Green. Spend the afternoon on secluded Chocomount Beach, or pack up the rods and fly-fish for striped bass on the rocks at Race Point. But be sure to save enough time to pull out the wine and cheese as you and your guests enjoy the sunset over Hay Harbor from the front porch.

Where is Fishers Island?

Tucked perfectly between New York and Boston at the entrance to Long Island Sound, Fishers Island is considerably easier to access than Block Island, Martha’s Vineyard and Nantucket, yet it retains a charm that none of them possess.

Ride the Acela or take a two hour drive from either New York or Boston, and hop on the ferry in New London, Connecticut. The relaxing 45 minute ride serves as your segue from the busy city life to the safety, privacy and best aspects of island living.
