Where is it?
Talbot House is located just outside the village, overlooking Hay Harbor. If you should ever decide to leave the house, take a mid-day stroll down to the museum to see this summer's special exhibit. Relax afterward with a picnic lunch from the Island Cafe on the Village Green. Spend the afternoon on secluded Chocomount Beach, or pack up the rods and fly-fish for striped bass on the rocks at Race Point. But be sure to save enough time to pull out the wine and cheese as you and your guests enjoy the sunset over Hay Harbor from the front porch.
Be sure to pick up your Fishers Island sticker that provides anytime access to beautiful and uncrowded Isabella beach and the rest of the gated East End. |

Where is Fishers Island?
Tucked perfectly between New York and Boston at the entrance to Long Island Sound, Fishers Island is considerably easier to
access than Block Island, Martha’s Vineyard and Nantucket, yet it retains a charm that none of them possess.
Ride the Acela or take a two hour drive from either New York or Boston, and hop on the ferry in New London, Connecticut.
The relaxing 45 minute ride serves as your segue from the busy city life to the safety, privacy and best aspects of island
living.

Talbot House
The quintessential Mansion House row cottage. Cottage #2 has been kept in the kind of shape that most houses only dream of. All of the owners in the last 50+ years have respected the structure so that the exterior remains much as it was when it was built in the early days of the Mansion House. Downstairs, the kitchen, dining room and living room are all bright and inviting for those times when being inside are called for. The wood-burning fireplace lets us know that fall days made need a little help to take off the chill.
On the second floor, four comfortable bedrooms and two baths whisper of the many families who have shared times in this great house. On the third floor two more bedrooms and a bath are a perfect spot for kids to have their own space.
Very few spots on the island speak of the experience of this magic island as well as a cottage on Mansion house row. Off-street parking completes this house for summers of fun, yet accommodates for our modern transportation habits.
