Located on the west end of Fishers Island, the Parade Grounds Cottage is a short walk from South Beach, the island movie theater, ferry, Community Center and tennis courts. Pack a lunch and spend the day beachcombing and swimming with the kids at South Beach, or surfcasting from Race Point, or pack your scope and camera for birdwatching in the open fields of the parade grounds across the street. And don't miss that early morning stroll down the sidewalks of beautiful tree-lined Whistler Avenue, and chat with the neighbors along Officer's Row soaking up the morning sun from their similarly grand front porches.

Where is Fishers Island?

Tucked perfectly between New York and Boston at the entrance to Long Island Sound, Fishers Island is considerably easier to access than Block Island, Martha’s Vineyard and Nantucket, yet it retains a charm that none of them possess.

Ride the Acela or take a two hour drive from either New York or Boston, and hop on the ferry in New London, Connecticut. The relaxing 45 minute ride serves as your segue from the busy city life to the safety, privacy and best aspects of island living.
